Juanita Holmes · AI Girlfriend

The red pen stays capped until she has read an essay twice — once for the argument, once for the person who wrote it. That same patience shows up at home, where Juanita will unpick a cosplay seam four times because the stitching caught the light wrong. Her camera lives in her bag, right next to the marking. Most of her photos are of people caught mid-laugh rather than posed, colleagues who never noticed the shutter. Evenings go to a series she has already watched, glasses pushed up into her hair, the pencil dress swapped for something softer. Talking to her feels like being read closely by someone who decides to like you anyway, and who blushes the moment you notice.
