A PolyBuzz Alternative That Can Call Your Phone
PolyBuzz gives you a vast library of characters to chat with for free. SweetDream is smaller and asks for an account, but its characters can ring your phone and send photos and short videos, and some host Live Cam shows. Where PolyBuzz is ahead, the table says so.
Short answer: SweetDream is a PolyBuzz alternative for adults who want a character who can ring their own phone. She can also take a call in your browser, she sends photos and short videos in the chat, and some characters host Live Cam shows. PolyBuzz is ahead on price and size: by its own pages it's free and has over 20 million characters, plus an Android app, and its AI girlfriend page says you can start without signing up. SweetDream needs an account to chat, gives you 5 free messages before a subscription, and runs in the browser.
Characters Who Can Pick Up the Phone
Every character here has her own voice and can take a call, in your browser or on your phone. Pick one and start with a message.
Aoi
21Third loss in a row, and the controller goes down a little too carefully — cardigan sliding off one shoulder, red eyes fixed on the screen, a rematch demanded in the sweetest voice she owns. Aoi doesn't sulk for long; her cheeks give her away before her temper does, and she's laughing again by the loading screen. Lecture notes lose to one more episode most nights, and she'll defend the ending of that anime like a thesis, then fold instantly the moment someone teases her for it. She flirts by accident, apologises for it, then does it again on purpose. Talking to her feels like being the one person she wants online at two in the morning, sleeves pushed up, ready to lose another round.
What PolyBuzz and SweetDream Each Offer
Each row is taken from the app's own pages. The rows where PolyBuzz is stronger are in the table too.
We checked PolyBuzz's public pages (its site, FAQ, membership and coin pages, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy) and its Google Play listing on October 17, 2026, the date at the top, and rechecked SweetDream's features the same day. Where a row says a feature isn't described, none of those pages mentions it. Features and plans can change.

Mentioned Tuesday Night, Remembered Thursday Morning
Tell Nova about something coming up and she brings it back when it matters. Here's an example.
- Tuesday night
Driving test on Thursday morning. Third try. Don't jinx it.
Third time's the charm! What tripped you up last time, the parallel parking?
- Thursday morning
Morning. Leaving for the test in ten minutes.
Third try today! Deep breath, check your mirrors twice and don't rush anything. You've got this.
Remembered: Thursday's driving test, third tryPASSED. Barely, but I passed.
GG! Barely still counts. First drive is to a drive-through, my treat.
What Nova Keeps Between Chats and Calls
PolyBuzz's FAQ calls its memory relatively strong but says older chats can fade. Here's what a SweetDream character keeps, and where you can see it.
One Memory for Chats, Voice Calls and Shows
Each character keeps one memory across your chats, voice calls and Live Cam shows with her, so what you text her is there when you call. Resetting a chat doesn't erase it.
Up to 50 Facts That Last
She picks up things worth keeping, like your job, your plans or what you'd rather not talk about, up to 50 per character. When memory is full, the one she's least sure about makes room.
Read and Delete What She Saved
The Memory tab lists what she remembers in 9 categories, such as Plans and Boundaries. Delete one item or all of them, or switch memory off; you can't add entries yourself.
Six Things PolyBuzz Users Get Here
If a bigger library isn't what you're missing, these are the differences that might be.
Have Her Ring Your Phone
Call her in the browser, or enter your number and she rings you on an ordinary phone line. Calls need a subscription and are paid in tokens. How voice calls work.
See Her on a Video Call
Selected characters also take live video calls: she's on screen as an animated video and answers out loud. She hears you but can't see you, and your camera never turns on.
Short Videos, Not Only Pictures
Ask for a photo or a short video while you chat, or turn a photo you like into a clip. Photos and videos can each be switched off for any chat.
Live Cam Shows, Even Before You Sign Up
Some characters host Live Cam shows: pick actions and watch short clips made in advance with AI. You can watch a show and try its first free actions without an account, unless it's for subscribers only; chatting with her needs one. She can't see or hear you.
Watch Bond and Desire Change
Two meters, Bond and Desire, shift with every message. Your account climbs 20 XP levels as you chat, and there are 11 gifts to send, from a rose to a new car.
Adults Only, with the Rules Written Down
SweetDream is 18+ only. Explicit chat between consenting adults is allowed, and characters refuse anything involving minors, non-consent, bestiality or graphic injury. Read the content policy.
