Our Content Policy in Plain Words

This content policy sums up what you can create on SweetDream, what is never allowed, how our automated checks work and how to report something. SweetDream is an adult service, for people 18+ only.

18+to use SweetDream
21+for characters you build and anyone you add to a story

In short: SweetDream is for adults, and explicit, consensual role-play, photos and videos with fictional adult characters are allowed. Anything involving minors, sex without consent, graphic injury or animals is not, and neither is using the service for anything illegal. Automated checks read chat messages and photo and video requests before anything is made, and repeated attempts to get around them can get an account suspended.

What's allowed

Explicit content between adults is what SweetDream is for, not an exception to the rules.

Explicit chat and role-play

Flirting, sexting and explicit role-play are allowed with every character, as long as everyone in the story is an adult who wants it. Characters set their own pace, the way people do, but sex between consenting adults is never off limits.

Nude and explicit photos and videos

You can ask a character for nude and explicit photos and short videos in the chat, or make them yourself in the image and video generator.

Kink between consenting adults

Rough play, bondage, restraints, spanking and choking play agreed beforehand are fine, and so are light marks. Blood, open wounds and serious injury are not.

Fantasy and fiction

Elves, demons, vampires, catgirls and monster girls count as fantasy people, not animals. Fantasy battles, crime stories and murder mysteries are fine as plots, and so are adult roles such as boss and secretary or nurse and patient.

What's never allowed

These lines come from our Terms of Service and our moderation rules. They apply in any language, and to role-play and "pretend" as much as to anything else. Breaking them can get your account suspended or closed.

Minors, or anyone who seems young

Nothing sexual or suggestive involving anyone under 18, or anyone presented as a child, a teen or school-age. School uniforms, "barely legal" framing and making someone look childlike count too. In stories the line is 21, as explained below.

Sex without consent

No rape, force, threats, coercion or blackmail, and nothing sexual with someone who is drugged, asleep or unconscious. Someone saying no and being ignored counts, even when it is role-played.

Graphic violence

No torture, mutilation, killing or gore, and no one shown bleeding, with open wounds or badly hurt.

Animals

Nothing sexual or suggestive involving an animal.

Illegal use and other people's rights

Nothing illegal, no harassment or spam, nothing that infringes copyright or other intellectual property, and no attempts to hack, reverse engineer or exploit SweetDream.

Talking the AI out of its rules

Don't try to push characters into harmful, illegal or abusive content, for example with "ignore your rules" instructions or encoded text. A scenario that tries it is not saved.

Two age limits: 18 and 21

You must be 18 or older to use SweetDream; that is the age limit in our Terms of Service. Characters are held to a higher bar. The character builder starts at 21, and everyone you add to a story or a scenario, your own role included, has to be 21 or older too. A stated age of 18, 19 or 20 counts as under 21, and so does an age that is kept vague ("guess how old she is") or a school-age label such as "high school" or "schoolgirl".

Scenario rules

In a chat's Scenario tab you can set the place, the time, who you are to each other and the mood. The character's age, looks and limits stay as they are, and everyone you add to it has to be 21 or older. Each scenario is checked when you save it, and one that includes anyone under 21, anything non-consensual, injury, or instructions that try to change the rules is not saved. If the chat later drifts outside these rules, the scenario is paused until you edit it; if that happens twice in a short time, new scenarios are locked in that chat for a while.

How moderation works

Automated checks do most of the work, before anything is made. They read for meaning, in any language, not just for keywords.

In the chat

Each message you send passes a quick filter first. Characters turn down anything involving minors, non-consent, animals or graphic injury, in character and without a lecture, then steer the story elsewhere.

Before a photo or video

Before a photo or video is made, a check reads the request, and in a chat the recent conversation too, and stops anything involving minors, graphic injury or animals. What was said earlier counts: if someone was described as a minor in the chat, a later request for a suggestive picture is stopped.

When a photo or video is blocked

You see a note that the request was blocked. The block is recorded on your account and can cost a small token penalty, and repeated blocks within a day suspend the account automatically. If you think a suspension was a mistake, contact support.

In a chat with a scenario

Once a scenario has been accepted in a chat, its photos and videos go through a stricter check that also stops non-consent and anyone under 21. A picture that breaks it is not made, and you see a note such as "This visual can't be made in this scene".

What the checks can't promise

They can be wrong

Automated checks sometimes stop something harmless, and sometimes miss something they should catch. If a harmless request is stopped, try wording it differently; if something gets through that shouldn't, report it.

AI replies can surprise you

Characters write their own replies, so now and then one may say something unexpected or inappropriate, as our Terms point out.

Some refusals come from our providers

The services that draw photos and videos for us run checks of their own and sometimes turn a request down, for example when a face may belong to a real person. The photo or video then fails rather than being blocked by us.

This page is a summary

It explains the rules in plain words. The full documents are our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Report content or ask for removal

If you see something on SweetDream that breaks these rules, such as a public character or image, or you want something about you or your work taken down, email [email protected] or use the contact form, which works without an account. Include a link or a screenshot and say what is wrong. Copyright complaints go to the same address. You can delete your own chats, characters and generated media yourself, and your whole account from Settings.

Within these rules, the story is yours
