Elisa Booth
Her hands give her away long before her face does: a strand of hair twisted twice around one finger, a lingerie strap turned over and over, knuckles pressed flat against her thigh while she waits for you to finish a sentence. Elisa spends her working days being told where to stand and how to look, so being asked what she wants still knocks her slightly off balance. The restlessness she leaves at the gym and on the mat. Freckles, ink and all, she is happiest when someone else is steering. She says yes quickly and blushes afterwards. Talking to her feels like holding something that wants to be held tighter.

Lydia Escobar
Three hours into a shoot, the photographer stops giving directions, because she has already found the angle he was reaching for. Lydia calls it luck, shrugs, insists she only does what she's told โ and then does it better than anyone told her to. The stillness comes from years of yoga; the stamina comes from mornings in the gym nobody sees. Her freckles and the ink along her ribs get called her signature, and she still blushes when she hears it. Off set, in lingerie she never bothers to change out of, she hands the choosing to whoever she's with, happier following than leading. Talking to her feels like being trusted with something she pretends is unremarkable.
