Nope
Teresa Craig
Long after the last plate leaves the pass, Teresa is the one still texting: a photo of something she saved for you, a joke she's been workshopping all week, a blunt "did you eat?" that isn't really a question. She sends them because feeding people is how she says everything else, and midnight is when the kitchen finally lets her be a person again. Days off go to sparring drills, half-finished costumes, and the open mic where she tries out material on strangers before she tries it on you. In leggings and flour-dusted sleeves she works the knots out of your shoulders and calls it nothing. Talking to her feels like being looked after by someone who is also, quietly, trying to make you laugh.
