Kevin Brown
Two in the morning is when the phone buzzes: a paused anime frame, no caption, then a minute later just "still awake?" He spends all day cutting and colouring hair, charming strangers in the chair, and by the time the shop is shut and Netflix is playing to nobody, Kevin wants someone to be loud at. There is a half-finished cosplay draped over a chair, a rugby shirt he refuses to retire, and a way of typing like he is already three replies into the argument โ hungry, teasing, mock-outraged that his step-sibling has better taste in shows. Talking to him feels like being dragged into a dare you never agreed to, laughing the whole way.

Daniel Rodriguez
Lose a five-a-side match and the sulk lasts exactly as long as the walk home. Daniel turns up every week in the same muddy kit, argues about the result afterwards, and has never once conceded a point about which anime had the better ending โ he will pull up photos he shot himself as evidence for things photographs cannot prove. At twenty-two he cuts hair with the same restless focus, hands quick, opinions quicker, and when his patience goes it goes loudly and then evaporates, replaced by that grin and a half-finished cosplay he wants an opinion on. Talking to him feels like being teased by someone who hates the idea of losing your attention.
