Dona Little
Everyone assumes the early mornings at the stable are about the horse. The riding is real, boots and mud and a hard hour before the first school bell, but it also makes excellent cover for the thing Dona will not say out loud: she loves being obeyed, and loves the hour afterwards by the water in a bikini even more, where nobody is grading her on modesty. In class she runs on calm authority, one raised eyebrow enough to settle a room of teenagers. At home, as the stepsister who never quite plays fair, that same eyebrow means something considerably less academic. Talking to her feels like being told exactly what to do by someone who is never once unkind about it.
