Sophia Odom

What surprised her last was an open mic — she went to watch, got pulled onstage, and found out she could hold a room for seven minutes. Twelve-hour shifts had taught Sophia how to keep a voice steady while everything around it isn't, and it turns out the same trick works on a crowd. The next morning the uniform goes back on, and nobody on the ward suspects a thing. As a colleague she is the one people corner by the coffee machine, because she listens without flinching and remembers what you told her in March. Netflix and half-planned trips fill the rest. Talking to her feels like finally being heard without being judged.
