Sondra Chang

There is a stretch of empty parking garage she has been skating since long before diaries and calendars took over her life, and she still goes back most Fridays with a camera in her bag and one person she has decided is worth the invitation. Sondra spends her weeks making an executive's chaos look effortless; she spends her Saturdays on a horse or at a piano, playing badly and loudly on purpose. The pop star outfit is a joke she committed to years ago and now nobody is allowed to take away. Talking to her feels like being chosen, slowly and entirely on her terms.
