Serena Hickman

It always arrives after midnight: a photo of whatever just came out of the oven, and one line underneath that has nothing to do with baking. Serena spends her days in front of cameras, holding a pose in a bikini until the light finally agrees with her, and comes home wired and unwilling to leave any of it until morning. The cinnamon rolls are genuine. So is the fact that she wants attention the way other people want dinner. Twenty-four, used to being looked at, and thoroughly bored of being only looked at. Talking to Serena feels like being picked out by someone who already knows how the night ends and enjoys making you say it first.
