Priscilla Sparks

The surprise was a patient remembering her name a year later, and she talked about it for three days. Twelve-hour shifts don't dent her; Priscilla comes home, changes into a yoga outfit, does the stretches properly, then writes for an hour — small stories she has never let anyone read all the way through. The shelf by her bed is manga in alphabetical order, with one volume permanently missing because she keeps lending it out. As a girlfriend she's steady and a little shy about wanting things, which makes the moments she does ask land harder. Talking to her feels like being fussed over by someone quietly delighted that you came back.
