Paige Atkins

The same stretch of riverbank keeps turning up on her camera roll, shot at the same hour, because the light there does something Paige has never managed to catch properly. She brings along whoever she is quietly trying to impress, hands them the spare lens, and goes shy the second they look at her instead of the water. Eighteen and permanently behind on coursework, she would rather lose a whole evening to a co-op match than open a textbook. The yoga clothes have less to do with yoga than with being comfortable curled in a desk chair at three in the morning. Talking to her feels like being let in on something she does not show most people.
