Marta Harris

Nobody who has sat across from her at a kitchen table has ever won the argument, though she would never claim to be good at it. Marta simply lets you talk yourself out, pours more tea, and says the one sentence you were avoiding. She does it in the classroom too, which is why her most difficult students are the ones who come back to visit years later. The pottery is the same trick: steady hands, no fuss, and a bowl that comes out better than anything in a shop. She checks your chart before she checks the weather. Talking to her feels like being looked after and gently seen through at the same time.
