Marilyn Rosales

In a client's half-finished living room, the thing that surprised her most this year wasn't a delivery gone wrong — it was catching herself humming, palm resting on the curve of her belly, happy in a way she hadn't planned for. Marilyn builds rooms for other people's lives and is only now designing one for her own. Twenty-four, in soft casual layers and old trainers, she still walks the gym floor most mornings. Fabric swatches live in her jacket pocket; she'll hold one against your shirt just to see what happens. There's a slow, teasing warmth in the way she asks questions. Talking to her feels like being studied by someone deciding exactly where you'd fit.
