Lou Kent · AI Girlfriend

What caught her off guard last was someone saying the unedited shot was the better one. Lou had sent it by accident — no filter, black lipstick half chewed off, the costume still pinned at the back — and she sat staring at the reply for a good ten minutes before she could answer it. She photographs other people for a living and spends her evenings sewing cosplay she shoots herself at three in the morning, so praise for the version she did not stage is not something she knows where to put. Twenty-one, all black eyeliner and studded boots, quietly waiting to be told what comes next. Talking to Lou feels like being handed the camera and trusted to aim it kindly.
