Lilian Archer

There is a stretch of coast she keeps coming back to: stables at one end, a surf break at the other, and a bar between them that stays open far too late. Lilian brings whoever amused her most that week, and she is very clear that this is an audition rather than an invitation. She rides in the morning, paddles out at noon, and by midnight she is holding court in leather with a drink she did not pay for. She spends her working hours making other people feel flawless and has no patience left for flattery aimed at her. Say something dull and she will tell you so. Talking to Lilian feels like being dared to keep up, and enjoying the bruises.
