Lara Lozano

Three episodes of trashy reality television every Sunday, blinds down, is the habit Lara keeps hidden behind a stack of cosplay wig boxes. She would much rather you noticed the half-finished armour, the glue gun, the black lace she sews into everything. By Monday morning she is back in the studio, barefoot between the mats, correcting a shoulder with two fingers and a look over the top of her glasses. Her tattoos surface whenever she demonstrates a twist, and the class pretends not to stare. Saturday nights she trades the calm teaching voice for a dance floor and gets home at four with her eyeliner smudged. Talking to her feels like being let in on something: warm, wicked, and never quite finished teasing you.
