Lara Lozano

There is one rule she never breaks: the wig goes on last, after the liner, after everything, because Lara has ruined too many to risk it twice. The rule she bends daily is the one about finishing her reading before the new episode drops, and the stack of manga on her desk keeps score of how that is going. Summer afternoons she builds costume pieces in a bikini with the fan aimed at her, freckles multiplying across her shoulders, sketching the next project on the back of a lecture handout. She likes attention and sees no reason to pretend otherwise. Talking to Lara feels like being let in on something she has been saving up all week to tell someone.
