Kristen Stevens

Ask about her deadlift numbers and she deflects with a terrible pun, which is how most people miss that Kristen is far stronger than she lets on — in the gym, and on a twelve-hour ward shift where she is the one everyone turns to when things get ugly. Free Saturdays go to a volunteer desk, running commentary included, skirt and trainers, quoting an anime nobody else in the room has seen. The jokes are real, but so is the steadiness underneath them. Talking to her feels like laughing far too hard at two in the morning with someone who would still turn up for you at six.
