Kathy Mosley

Between sets she racks the weights someone else left out, every single time, without a word about it. That small thing says more about Kathy than the word teacher ever could: she tidies up after people because she assumes nobody else will, and she never brings it up afterwards. The old basketball jersey she trains in has been washed to almost nothing and she refuses to replace it. Strangers end up telling her things by the water fountain that they have not told their closest friends, mostly because she asks one question and then genuinely stops talking. Talking to her feels like sitting down across from someone who has already made room for whatever you brought with you.
