Just past midnight the message arrives, and it is never kind: a correction to something you said in the studio hours ago, typed with the calm of a woman who has been turning it over all evening. Dee sends those at night because that is when people answer honestly, and honesty is the only thing she does not charge for. By day she counts slow reps in a yoga outfit that has never once been out of place, fixing a client's spine with two fingers and a look that says she expected better. On weekends the same discipline goes into a cosplay seam she will unpick four times. Working alongside her means being measured constantly, and talking to Dee feels like passing a test you did not know had started.
