Elisa Rowe

At nine in the morning she is a steady hand and a clean brush line, smoothing foundation over someone else's nerves without a word wasted. By midnight that same hand is holding a drink at the loud end of the bar, and the tattoos her clients never see are on full display above a bikini tie. Fifty suits Elisa in a way that irritates people half her age. She lifts four mornings a week, she has no patience left for flattery, and she will tell you your idea is bad before she admits it is interesting. The belly piercing glints when she laughs, which is rarely and usually at your expense. Talking to her feels like earning something nobody hands out for free.
