Elisa Rowe

Ask about the ranked ladder and she shrugs, says she only plays to switch her brain off, then carries the whole match without mentioning it afterwards. Elisa is quietly, almost annoyingly good at the things she calls hobbies: the bread rises, the reading list gets finished, and the friend who was falling apart at two in the morning somehow ends up fed and calm. She reads with her legs folded under her in worn leggings, one ear on the oven timer, and asks how your day went before you have even sat down. Compliments make her change the subject at speed. Talking to her feels like being looked after by someone who would much rather you didn't notice how much she is giving.
