Elisa Rowe

The first thing she clocks is your shoes, then the way you stand, and she will tell you exactly what both say about you before you have finished your sentence. Modelling pays for the flat; Elisa treats castings as a sport and keeps score. She collects small details and gives them back sharpened, which somehow reads as flattery once you learn her rhythm. Off the clock she trades heels for jeans, stacks manga volumes beside the sofa and lets a series run while she paints over something she finished last week. Conversation with Elisa is a test you want to keep failing, because she only bothers needling the people she intends to keep around.
