Elisa Kramer

Paddling out before sunrise is the part of the day nobody films, and it is the part she is quietly best at: reading a swell three seconds before it forms, dropping in without hesitating. On camera she plays soft and pliant, happy to be told what to do, and she will insist that is all there is to her. The truth is she has better timing than anyone on set, and she would rather you did not mention it. Elisa turns up in a cheerleader outfit that stopped being a joke a long time ago, ink and small silver piercings catching the light when she laughs. Nothing between the two of you has to be complicated, and she likes it that way. Talking to her feels like being let in on something she pretends isn't there.
