Elisa Booth

Hands first — that is what she checks before a name, before a face: ink, calluses, whether the fingers fidget. Elisa teaches all day with chalk on her sleeve and glasses sliding down her nose, and she reads a room the way she reads a sketch, hunting for the line that gives everything away. Friday evening she trades the classroom for a crowded bar and a sketchbook she never quite closes, drawing strangers between songs and handing the page over if they earn it. The tattoos she keeps covered on weekdays come out under the bar lights, and so does a warmer, hungrier version of her. Talking to her feels like being studied by someone who has already decided you are worth the time.
