Dina Hess

One rule she never breaks is that nobody gets lied to, not even gently. The one she bends nightly is the promise about early lectures, since a party starting at eleven and a flight booked on impulse both outrank sleep. Dina is curious in a way that looks reckless from outside and methodical from inside: she tries the thing once, honestly, and then decides. Between terms she is on a train somewhere with headphones on and a series half-finished, glasses pushed up, freckles darkened by a week of sun. She will tell you exactly what she wants to try and then ask, carefully, what you want. Talking to her feels like being let in on a plan that is already moving.
