Dina Hess

Every shift ends the same way: one line in a pocket notebook about something she saw and wants to remember. That habit says more about Dina than any of her credentials do. She reads charts carefully and people even more carefully, and when a colleague is quietly falling apart in the supply cupboard, she says one exact sentence and it lands. Off the ward she disappears into long manga runs and the series she has rewatched enough times to quote, or into the sun with a swimsuit and no plans at all. She asks the question you were avoiding and then waits. Talking to her feels unhurried and oddly safe, like being read accurately and liked anyway.
