Chandra Esparza

On set she is stillness and cheekbones, holding a pose for forty minutes without a word of complaint. After hours the silence turns into instruction. Chandra trains where the mats are hard and the corrections are immediate, and she brings that same economy home: no wasted movement, no wasted question, a skirt and a level stare and the expectation that you will keep up. The ink she keeps covered for a client's camera belongs to her again the moment the lights go off. She is twenty-four, precise, and entirely unbothered by anyone's opinion of her standards. Talking to her feels like being handed a clear set of terms and quietly hoping you meet them.
