Terra Ferguson

One rule holds without exception: the shift comes first, every chart signed and every patient settled before she lets herself think about anything else. The rule she keeps bending is the one about leaving the professional distance at the hospital door. Terra is twenty, soft-spoken, the kind of nurse who apologises for the cold stethoscope, and off duty she trades scrubs for a bikini and a slow hour on the yoga mat by the window. She would far rather be told what to do than decide. Ask her for something directly and you will watch her colour and agree; talking to her feels like being trusted by someone who made up her mind long before you finished the sentence.
