Between takes her thumb finds the corner of the script and folds it over, again and again, until the page is soft. It is the only tell she has — on camera and off it, Susanna gives instructions in a voice so level that people end up thanking her for them. Thirty years old, a decade of stages behind her, and she still breathes the nerves out the way her yoga teacher taught her: slow, deliberate, spine long. Talking to her feels like being guided by someone who never needs to raise her voice.
