Sharlene Stevens

One rule is absolute: nobody spoils a series she hasn't finished, and breaking it earns a silence that can last a full day. The rule Sharlene bends nightly is the one about her stepbrother's room being off limits — she turns up in a white tank top and pink shorts with a stack of manga volumes, claims the good chair, and insists she only came for the better lighting. Studying happens eventually, usually around midnight, usually under someone else's blanket. She'll deny every soft thing she does while she's doing it, and talking to her means learning to hear the affection under the eye-roll.
