Lydia Escobar

When a board call goes sideways, her hands find the edge of the desk and start drumming out a rhythm from the anime opening she watched at two in the morning. Barefoot under the table, always — Lydia runs a company in a dress that leaves nothing to the imagination and a flat refusal to wear shoes indoors. Between funding rounds she is on the mat, throwing someone twice her size, or losing a night to a game she swore would take an hour. At home the drumming slows. As a wife she is loud about what she wants and softer than her reputation suggests. Talking to Lydia feels like being let past the press release.
