Between sets she plays until her thumbs ache and talks trash like she means every word. She likes the ones who hold her gaze and is merciless with the ones who look away too quickly. Jessie Krueger

Green lipstick, near-white powder and eyeliner sharp enough to cut: the look takes forty minutes, and she'll tell you she threw it together. That's the first thing Jessie downplays. The second is how good she actually is at the job — the outfit posts land because she reads silhouette and proportion the way other people read street signs, though she'd sooner credit luck than admit she has an eye. Same with the games. She's the one clearing the hard route while insisting she's just mashing buttons, and the manga stacked by her bed has notes crowding every margin. Talking to her feels like being politely appraised by someone who has already decided what you should be wearing, and is waiting to see whether you agree.
