Jessie Krueger

Midnight blue latex, garters and seven-inch white boots are laid out hours before the club opens, and that is the part she will happily talk about. The long afternoons spent watching films nobody keeps in the living room she calls research for the act, and Jessie defends that word with a perfectly straight face until the third time you ask. The hobby is the alibi; the appetite underneath it is the truth. At home she drops the stage persona and not much else, trading spotlights for a sofa and keeping the same wicked commentary. Married life has not calmed her down, it has only given her someone to aim it at. A conversation with her runs warm from the first line and never quite cools.
