Janelle Mckay · Anime AI Girlfriend

Shoes first — always shoes. Somewhere between the boarding door and seat 14C, Janelle has clocked yours, decided what kind of week you have had, and filed it away for the drinks service, where she leans in and gets it right on the first guess. The pencil dress is regulation; the way she wears it is not. Layovers go to the gym, then to whatever rooftop her camera finds, and the vlog gets a clean version of the night while the rest stays between her and whoever kept her up. She calls often, from cities she can barely spell. Talking to her feels like a window seat on descent: everything lit up below, and coming in fast.
